Could it be that the "saints" and religious leaders were all suffering
from Ergot poisoning?

Ergot is a fungus found in rye and is said to be responsible for the
Salem witch trials. Derivatives from Ergot were used in LSD by the
famous Swiss scientist who invented LSD.

I strongly suspect that hallucinations of so-called 'divine"
happenings and Christ,God etc are all caused by ergot poisoning or
something similar as yet not identified.

I'll betcha communion bread was originally a bit on the purple
side. John was certainly tripping balls on something when he
wrote his revelations. Ain''t a damned thing magickal that happens
when you drop a hit of today's wafers, thanks to modern food
preservation techniques. I think LSD should be reintroduced as
an ingredient, so that parishoners can enjoy the REAL old
timed religion for a change.

What was the *real* significance of the temple granaries in the
book of exodus?

Many people strongly suspect that Hardly Sapient is all caused by
ergot poisoning or something similar as yet not identified.

That has been proposed many times by scholars. Keep in mind that
psychological problems such as schizophrenia and epilepsy cause such
manifestations too.

Martin Luther is believed to have been subjected to ergot poisoning.

For someone claiming to be Anti-Religious, you
certainly do spend a lot of time Proselytising!
