In the recent National Poetry Day thread there were quite a few
variations of poems starting with the above line, but how many?

The boy stood on the burning deck
Eating peanuts by the peck
As he ate his feet were toasted
He didn't care, he liked them roasted.

Any others?

The boy stood on the burning deck
The crew were playing cricket.
The ball rolled up the captain's leg
And struck his middle wicket.

The boy stood on the burning deck
Picking his nose like mad.
He rolled them into little balls
And flicked them at his dad.

Then heard the sound of hissing
The fire died, he wondered why
His shipmates were all . . . . . . .

The boy stood on the burning deck
his feet all covered in blisters.
He split his trews right up the back
and had wear his sister's.

"I am not Roo," said Piglet loudly.

"I am Piglet!"

"Yes, dear, yes," said Kanga soothingly.

"And imitating Piglet's voice too!
So clever of him."
